Upward Vision is preparing to partner with a ministry team to help
rescue Solomon Island
villagers from poverty, engage youth in activities to
prevent from crime, supply Bibles to spread the
Gospel, and provide educational supplies. This project is expected to commence within
the next few months. |

Many villagers
of the Solomon Islands are very poor and lack the resources to improve
their lives. Students often walk more than one hour just to go to
school in educational conditions which are deplorable. Most village
schools do not have desks or chairs for students, nor
essential learning materials, such as books, writing tools, sports
equipment, etc.; students often use sticks, leaves, and stones to write
their lessons. |

The
needs are vast, but the opportunity is great.
Phase I of this project raises funds to purchase Bibles and educational supplies for children. Needs include:
- Bibles
(children and adult versions, Pijin language)
- Educational
supplies
(pencils, eraser, pens, crayons, paper, sports equipment, etc.)
